Κυνοκομείο Λαμίας ώρα μηδέν / Appalling living conditions for animals in the shelter of Lamia - Π.Φ.Π.Ο. Πανελλαδική Φιλοζωική και Περιβαλλοντική Ομοσπονδία

Είναι γνωστό οτι η Ομοσπονδία μας κάνει ένα μεγάλο αγώνα κατά των αθλιοτήτων εις βάρος των αδέσποτων που συμβαίνουν στα δημοτικά κυνοκομεία της χώρας αλλά και των αυθαιρεσιών των Δήμων και την καταπάτηση της κείμενης για τα ζώα νομοθεσίας.

Το τελευταίο διάστημα δέχεται καταγγελίες για το δημοτικό κυνοκομείο Λαμίας με πρόσφατη την καταγγελία αλλοδαπής η οποία χαρακτηριστικά δηλώνει ότι δεν μπορεί να κοιμηθεί πια τις νύχτες μετά την επίσκεψή της στο κυνοκομείο για να υιοθετήσει κάποιο δύστυχο ζώο (παραθέτουμε πιο κάτω το μήνυμά της, γροθιά στο στομάχι μας).

Υπάρχουν επίσης καταγγελίες για αδέσποτα τα οποία περισυλλέγονται για να στειρωθούν και στη συνέχεια εξαφανίζονται από τις γειτονιές που ζούσαν ήρεμα, γεγονός που μας οδηγεί στο συμπέρασμα ότι φυλακίζονται στα κελιά του κυνοκομείου για να μην “ενοχλούν” όλους αυτούς που τα εγκαταλείπουν αλλά στη συνέχεια διαμαρτύρονται που υπάρχουν.

Εσχάτως πληροφορηθήκαμε ότι έχει δοθεί εντολή τα ζώα να μην επανεντάσσονται αλλά να παραμένουν έγκλειστα.

Στο ίδιο συμπέρασμα μας οδηγεί το γεγονός, ότι ενώ χάρη στις φιλότιμες προσπάθειες των φιλόζωων αρκετά ζώα υιοθετούνται παρόλα αυτά παραμένει αμείωτος και αυξανόμενος ο αριθμός των ζώων του κυνοκομείου με minimum τα 270 ζώα ενώ εχει άδεια για 4 κλουβιά! με ο,τι αυτό συνεπάγεται για την ευζωία των ζώων, λέξη κενή νοήματος για την πλειονότητα των δημοτικών κυνοκομείων.

Καλούμε τον Δήμο Λαμίας να σταματήσει ΤΩΡΑ να στοιβάζει ζώα, να σεβαστεί το γεγονός ότι είναι συναισθανόμενα πλάσματα και όχι αντικείμενα, να πάψει να λειτουργεί ψηφοθηρικά στις πλάτες των ζώων, να λειτουργεί σύννομα καθώς επίσης και τις Εισαγγελικές Αρχές να κάνουν χρήση του άρθρου 19 του νόμου 4039/12 πάραυτα.

Η Ελλάδα έχει καταστεί συνώνυμη των λέξεων κακοποίηση των ζώων από ιδιώτες αλλά και από κρατικές δομές.

Επιτέλους κάποιος ας το σταματήσει.

Κύριε Πρωθυπουργέ, κύριοι αρμόδιοι Υπουργοί θα ρίξετε το βλέμμα σας σε αυτό το απόστημα ή όχι;

Διαβάζουμε ότι διάφοροι Υπουργοί πηγαίνουν αιφνιδιαστικά σε διάφορους χώρους πχ.νοσοκομεία, ώστε να έχουν μια εκτίμηση των πραγμάτων.

Γιατί δεν το κάνετε και για τα Νταχάου κυνοκομεία ώστε να αποκτήσετε ως Κυβέρνηση μια πραγματική εικόνα της κατάστασης και να πάρετε τις σωστές αποφάσεις;

Θα πάρετε μέτρα ώστε να σταματήσει το αίσχος αυτό, όπως και η συνεχής τροφοδότηση των δρόμων με στρατιές νέων αδέσποτων ή θα επικαλεστείτε δήθεν ισορροπίες, όπως και όλοι οι προκάτοχοί σας;

Θα σεβαστεί η Κυβέρνηση την Ελλάδα που κακοποιείται συνεχώς και τα ζώα που βασανίζονται ή θα σκεφτεί τυχόν τριγμούς στο εκλογικό σώμα;

Παραθέτουμε μέρος του μηνύματος της αλλοδαπής, όπως και τις φωτογραφίες που δηλώνουν απερίφραστα την πραγματικότητα των δημοτικών κυνοκομείων. Φαγητό και νερό μαζί με διάρροιες και ένα άθλιο κλουβί δύστυχων κουταβιών.

…..i was there 27th of january, to adopt a male dog who was there already for 2.5 years, i tought that when a dog is neutered they have to let him go again. When we got there we wanted to video the first meeting with the dog, well they didnt aprecciated that and i know now why, its overloaded, overloaded with sick and dying dogs in there, they even host dogs in toilet! The one room we went trough was full with benches and the benches full with sick dogs and pups, in the hallway there was a wounded dog, he just layed there under a towel. They told us that there are over 280 dogs now, and seriously i wished i never had seen this place, it gives me sleepless nights and i dont think this is the way a state shelter is supposed to work

Η φρικη των Δημοτικών Κυνοκομείων σε 1 λεπτο και 10 δεύτερα

It is well known that PFPO struggles against appalling living conditions for animals in municipal shelters and breach of the existing animal legislation by Greek Municipal Authorities.

Recently, PFPO has received a number of complaints concerning the municipal shelter in Lamia. Among these complaints, there is a serious complaint by a woman who was shocked by her visit to the shelter (her message with photos is available at the end of press release ).

Also, citizens have complained that strays are neutered and they are sent to the shelter instead of being released back into the neighborhood where they live. PFPO has been informed that order has been given for them to be kept in cages at the shelter.

Even though many animals have been adopted due to efforts of people who care about strays, there is an increasing number of animals inside the shelter. It should be reported that more than 270 animals live in the shelter even though it has a permit for 4 cages, a fact which inevitably has significant consequences as regards the welfare of those animals.

PFPO calls on the Municipal Authority of Lamia to respect the law and the fact that animals are sentient beings. Also, Public Prosecutors must immediately have recourse to Article 19 of Law No. 4039/2012.

Unfortunately, in Greece there is an increased number of animal abuse cases but also animal abuse takes place in State structures.

This nightmare must end!

Greek Prime Minister and competent ministers must not show indifference to this situation. Ministers must visit municipal shelters all around the country, so they gain a real picture of the situation and take steps in the right direction.

Will Greek government take all appropriate actions to change this appalling situation? Will it take into account any political consequences?
