On World Animal Day (4th October) at Police Art Cafe, the book of Leonidas Haziroglou and “Aparsis” Publications titled “ANIMAL RIGHTS+MORALITY-theories and praxis” was successfully presented.
In the beginning of the event, Vassilis Charziiakovou saluted and Lena Haziroglou, writer’s mother, intoned a poem.
Then, a speech was delivered by: Natassa Vyssinou-Bobolaki (lawyer and President of Panhellenic Animal Welfare and Environmental Federation), George Stamatiadis (lawyer) and Olga Liara (forest conservation specialist, member of the Administrative Council of PFPO, responsible for education issues and issues of wildlife).
During the event, organized by Katerina Thanopoulou (teacher-poet), Evangelia Dedemadi read some excerpts. Finally, the writer concluded the event.
After, a conversation took place between friends, animal lovers, vegans, representatives of magazines and sites (zoosos.gr, ibdb.gr etc.).
Part of the book sales will be dispensed to Panhellenic Animal Welfare and Environmental Federation.
