On Saturday, August 29, at 11:00, there will be a protest organized by the group – NO TO ANIMAL POISONING, NO ANIMAL ABUSE- ACTIVE CITIZENS- for the horrific brutal murder of the 2 dogs in Kerameia, Chania, by unknown perpetrators.
Our team, respecting the precautionary measures and the ban on gatherings, organizes a protest motorcade starting at the port of Souda so that there is no violation of the rules for gatherings. The Chania Police Department has already been informed.
We want the killers to be found!
We want to feel safe with our animals in our homes, in our neighbourhoods, in our city, in our country.
We want all incidents of animal cruelty to be treated with the same seriousness by the Police and Justice because animal abuse is the vestibule of violence against weak people.
We want the most severe penalties for animal cruelty and killing to be imposed.
We want all the citizens of Chania, Crete, Greece to know about the shocking murder of the 2 dogs in Keramia.
We want our country, our island, our city not to be aspersed around the world for the cruel and inhuman treatment of animals by a minority of our fellow citizens.
We call on the entire animal welfare community, animal welfare associations and all active citizens in Chania to support us and come to protest with us on Saturday.
We call on all animal supporters in other cities of Greece, where equally horrific acts of animal cruelty and killing are taking place, to hold similar protests so that we can raise the awareness of our fellow citizens and urge the judiciary and the government to toughen its stance towards animal abuse & murders.
Please share and state your participation in this post.
Be their voice, come and unite to ask for justice, not only for the 2 souls who died torturously in Keramia, Chania, but also for all the souls who are tortured, poisoned, killed, thrown in the garbage and suffer in Chania, in Crete, in GREECE.
Enough!
The Panhellenic Animal Welfare & Environmental Federation has already stated its support for our protest.
