On Friday 10th of May, our Federation’s educational program “People and Animals: Roommates on the same planet” was presented at Platanias Primary School in Chania.
This program was created by the University of Thessaly for PFPO and for screening of the movie “Re-Action” by Alexandros Katsaris – Artemis Samothrakes which is under auspices of PFPO, Unesco of Piraeus and islands, the organization “Greek Guide Dogs” and the Social Work Foundation “Hadjipaterion”. Both programs have been approved by the Ministry of Education for presentation at all schools.
Our educational program was presented at students of first and second class of elementary school. Children attended the presentation with great interest. Although their early childhood, pupils were well-informed on duties and responsibilities of pet owners.
Students of fifth and sixth class watched the movie with great dedication.
Children are excited and concerned in animal issues. Because of their behavior, there is a strong belief that adults encourage their children to abuse animals. Thus, it should be a lesson that will teach students to respect and love animals.
